Knowing the Return on Investment (ROI) for Business Intelligence is essential to Managing BI in several critcal areas. Most of these concern the expenditure of resources and creative, effectively applied BI. How do we prioritize and select new BI projects? Are we getting the most for our investment? Can we get more and better business Intelligence?
At BI Metrics, our mission is to design and deliver creative and practical solutions for effective management of Business Intelligence. We strongly believe that effective management requires well designed, practical, easy-to-collect and easy-to-use metrics and rigorous, well governed programs and process templates. We have created a three pronged approach:

We need a rigorous, metrics driven program which will allow us to improve Business Intelligence, clearly see the costs and values involved, and take appropriate actions to manage the products, the process and the resources. Now, there is a program which will allow you to define and achieve a Six Sigma level of quality for Business Intelligence, while managing assets and costs.

Auditing of the BI resources is a key part of any program for effective management. We need to understand the assets, describe them and determine the quality in terms of industry standards. Do we have the BI Assets, including infrastructures, tools, software and more - which will allow us to meet our needs, overcome competitive and other risks - current and future? We need to understand BI assets, their relationships to BI Quality and current technology, as well as, industry standards.
